KYON “Cupless” – Partial Hip Replacement
“Cupless” hip replacement or Partial Hip Replacement PHR is an permanent solution between Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) and Total Hip Replacement (THR).
The material of the head is Titanium with amorphous diamond-like coating (ADLC), which shows exceptionally low friction against many solid surfaces and thus minimizes heat generation and risk of thermal necrosis.
Cupless PHR has the potential to:

- shorten surgery time
- eliminate the cup wear issue
- lower implant cost
Technical Specifications
While there may be other THR solutions for veterinary available on the market that state they are compatible with KYON, the successful outcomes of mixing implant solutions from multiple brands has not been evaluated long-term or in clinical settings and is not recommended. We recommend you use a total solution from KYON.
